Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is rumoured to be preparing a big money bid for Real Madrid holding midfield player Sami Khedira in the summer.
The German does not seem to feature in the new Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti’s plans, having started only 10 games in the La Liga this season so far.
The 26-year old was subject of major speculation at the end of last season, when Manchester United lodged in a late multi million pound bid, but were eventually unsuccessful in their attempt.
Although the Blues recently splashed the cash on Benfica playmaker Nemanja Matic, the club are going all out to replace the likes of Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel.
Having worked with the defensive midfielder closely for almost 3 years, Jose Mourinho might feel he has a great chance of luring the player to Stamford Bridge next season.
