Out of favor Juan Mata is reportedly nearing the end of his Chelsea career, as Inter Milan plan a £12 million bid to bring the midfielder to the San Siro.
The Spaniard has been in and out of the side under new boss Jose Mourinho, who has questioned his hard work and defensive qualities in the middle of the park. The 25-year old had a stellar last season, bagging the clubs player of the year award, for the second time in a row.
The little creative midfielder has started only 12 games this season, as the boss seems to prefer the likes of Schurrle, Willian and Oscar ahead of Mata in the hole behind the striker.
The play-maker will be itching to get out on to the field and start playing regular football, as the World Cup in Brazil beckons, and could force a move if he is not guaranteed more playing time.
Although the Blues paid a hefty sum of £25 million to Valencia for his services, Inter Milan will be looking to secure the frozen out midfielder in a cut price deal. However, it remains to be seen if Jose Mourinho and Chelsea sell their star player as they enter the crucial latter stages of the season.
