According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool have now turned their attention to Atletico Madrid’s Arda Turan after Chelsea hijacked a deal for primary target Mohamed Salah.
Arda Turan has been exceptional for the Spanish outfit this season, as he, along with Diego Costa, have helped their club maintain pace with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga after 21 games.
The Turkish international is being tracked by several clubs including the two Manchester sides, City and United.
The versatile 26-year old, who is accomplished in every attacking position along midfield, has scored 8 goals and provided 4 assists so far this campaign in all competitions.
The Merseyside club are keen to make the playmaker their first signing of the January window against all odds, however, Atletico Madrid will do all they can to block the move, atleast until the summer.
