Rumour: Liverpool linked with Georginio Wijnaldum

Premier League side, Liverpool, are plotting a £9 million move for PSV midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

Wijnaldum, who was also linked with Manchester United in the summer, has been at PSV since 2011 and might jump the ship considering the fact that there is not too much competition in the Liverpool midfield.

However, the 23 year old attacking midfielder is out injured after suffering a back injury last year which might lower his transfer value.

With Steven Gerrard turning 34 at the end of the season, manager Brendan Rodgers is looking for a player who can replace him in the long term, and Wijnaldum might fit the bill.
