With negotiations between Arsenal and Bacary Sagna hitting a roadblock, a host of clubs have been trailing the defender, with Liverpool the latest high profile club to enter the race.
According to Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter Milan have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the Frenchman, with the Reds making a substantial offer for the player, the details of which are yet to be disclosed.
The full back’s contract at the Emirates ends in the summer, and although the player has been offered two extension deals, he is said to be considering his options.
If the Merseyside club are able to meet Sagna’s demands of the tenure and value of the contract, a move to Arsenal’s cross country rivals might well be on.
