The Mirror are reporting that Manchester City are lining up a surprise move for former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
The Frenchman is currently at Italian side Juventus, but the Turin giants have admitted that they may not be in the financial position to turn down a big offer for the midfielder, who has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 22 year old has been in impressive form this season, netting seven times in 33 league appearances, having moved to Juventus in 2012.
Pogba accused Manchester United of disrespect this week, telling the BBC Sport that his move away from Old Trafford was in large part due to the club’s conduct, which included making him train alone.
United fans could be forgiven for wondering what might have been regarding Pogba, with the club’s midfield dysfunctional for most of the season and Pogba in scintillating form for Juventus.
Such form has caught the eye of their City rivals, meaning Pogba could be returning to Manchester this summer. The Mirror believe that City are preparing a move worth around £32 million and are even willing to offer left back Aleksander Kolarov or striker Edin Dzeko to Juve in order to secure their man.
