Word is making the round that Manchester United and Liverpool sent their scouts to watch Turan in action with Atletico Madrid during their Champions League game last night.
The winger, however, has a £33m release clause which was included in the contract he recently signed with Atletico.
But there will most definitely be a bid from either of the two Premier League clubs who are looking to strengthen their squads in the transfer window.
Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut revealed last season that the attacker aims to play his football in England and suggested there was interest from United and Liverpool.
“A destination in the Premier League would be to the liking of the player, and I can confirm there are clubs interested, like the two mentioned,” said Bulut.
“He wants to work in England.”
Turan, who has the ability to play on the flanks and behind the striker, has been an integral part of Diego Simeone‘s side this season, contributing three goals and five assists as Atletico sit second in the table, three points clear of neighbours Real Madrid.
