Manchester United are confident of landing Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos this summer, according to reports at ESPN.
Kroos, a German international, has been a key player for Bayern Munich over the last few seasons, however, he seems set for the exit door with problems regarding the renewal of his contract.
Kroos’ contract runs out in the summer of 2015 so this is the last time that Bayern Munich can command a fee for the midfielder, unless he signs a new contract.
Manchester United have been chasing the highly-rated midfielder for a number of months and according to reports, after two months of negotiations, it seems Manchester United have managed to agree a deal with the Bavarian giants for Kroos’ services.
Louis van Gaal was appointed manager of Manchester United on Monday and it is thought the appointment of the former Munich and Barcelona boss has tempted Kroos to part ways with his employers and move to England.
The United hierarchy are now confident the principles of an agreement are in place for the 24-year-old star and he could be a number of potential stars to reinforce United’s lacklustre side.
The Red Devils finished in seventh-place, but under new management they are expected to progress much more next season.
