Manchester United have reportedly made an official approach to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan, with the player’s agent confirming a bid from an English club, according to the Metro.
David Moyes has been given £150 million to improve his underachieving squad in the summer and the club have since been linked with a host of stellar names as they bid to return to the title race next season.
Turan is believed to be near the top of Moyes’ wishlist after the United manager made a personal trip to see him in action, and there have been rumours abound that the Red Devils could make a £15 million bid for the Turkish international.
Now the player’s agent, Ahmet Bulut, has indicated that a bid has been received from the Premier league for the attacking midfielder, but nothing is cast in stone as to whether either club or player will accept.
Bulut told reporters, “Arda is playing at a big club with big goals and wants to be a part of their success.
“We have received an offer from an English club. We will see.
“There are two sides to every transfer – the player and the club – so it’s up to both to decide.”
