Manchester United are reportedly keen to sign Tottenham Hotspur full-back Sergio Reguilon, who spent the first half of last season on loan at Old Trafford. The 27-year-old is back at his parent club but faces an uncertain future.
Last season, the Spaniard made 12 appearances across competitions for the Red Devils before leaving in the January transfer window. Reguilon spent the second half of the season on another loan spell, this time at Brentford, making 16 appearances across competitions.
The Spaniard is out of favour at Spurs, being down the pecking order, having spent the last two seasons on loan at three different clubs. Spurs are looking to sign another left-back as a back-up for Destiny Udogie, who spent a fine debut season, meaning Reguilon's hopes of breaking into Ange Postecoglou's team seem bleak.
Football Transfers has reported that United are interested in signing Reguilon permanently. With the Spaniard to be out of contract next summer. he could be available on a cut-price deal. United have a real problem at left-back, with Luke Shaw injured and Tyrell Malacia spending nearly the entirely of last leason on the sidelines due to injury.
Reguilon could be a fine addition to the squad, having contributed two goals and eight assists in 67 appearances across competitions for Spurs since arriving in 2020 from Real Madrid.
