According to The Express, Manchester United is targeting FC Porto left-back Alex Sandro as a replacement for Patrice Evra.
Evra is all set to leave the club next summer, and the United think tank seems to have decided that Sandro is the perfect replacement.
Inter Milan too have expressed interest in the Brazilian, but he has already turned down their £12.5 million offer.
Sandro joined Porto from Santos for £8 million in 2011. He has featured in 41 Portuguese Liga games and scored two goals for Porto, and has also earned six national team caps for Brazil.
Earlier, rumours suggested that United may rope in Everton left-back Leighton Baines, but now the move looks uncertain.
