Rumour: Monaco set to replace injured Falcao with Javier Hernandez

Ligue 1 side AS Monaco are suggested to be looking at Mexican goal-poacher Javier Hernandez in order to replace their injured star striker Radamel Falcao, according to reports in the Sunday Mirror.

In order to restore the balance in the fire prowess in the side, manager Claudio Ranieri is speculated to be very interested in the Mexican hit-man who has found himself more of a back-up striker at Old Trafford under David Moyes.

He has just started on four occasions in the Premier League this season scoring twice.

Monaco are aware of his discontent with his role in Manchester and may enquire into his availability before the transfer window late this week.

When asked about whether he would make any new addition to the squad, Ranieri said: “Recruiting another striker? Ask the President. I spoke with him. You already know what I think.”

Monaco loaned out their new striker, Lacina Traore to Everton even after learning about Falcao’s injury, something that has surprised fans all over France.
