Paul Scholes and Phil Neville were spotted in the stands of Stamford Bridge during the UEFA Champions League semi-final encounter of Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.
It is belived that former Machester United duo, who are working as a part of interim manager Ryan Giggs’s coaching staff, were watching the game to scout for a solution to their midfield problems.
With Louis Van Gaal close to becoming United’s next manager, it would be highly improbable that the pair were looking at Diego Simeone for the job at Old Trafford.
But rumours do suggest that Scholes and Neville were keenly observing Atletico’s Koke and Diego Costa during the match which saw the RojiBlancos defeat Chelsea 3-1, to progress to the Champions League final.
Koke has been linked with the Red Devils last summer but he ultimately opted to continue with the Spanish outfit.
Diego Costa has been a hot transfer target this summer with many clubs enquiring his availability, including United’s league adversary Chelsea, who are close to signing the Spanish forward.
