Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy wants to join Arsenal this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
Remy, 27, was on loan at Newcastle United last season where he scored 14 goals in the Premier League. His influence on the side was so big that they scored just twice without him in the side.
The reports in the Mirror suggest the former Marseille forward is desperate for a move to the Emirates.
The Frenchman was signed by QPR while they were in the Premier League but he could not keep from away from relegation to the Championship. He has always made it clear he has intentions to play in the Champions League but Newcastle was the best offer he received last summer and now it seems certain that he will join Arsenal.
The Gunners finished fourth again last season and will have to get through a qualifying round in August to make the group stages, but that should be an easy passage for them.
Remy was in the stands at the Emirates Stadium when Arsenal played West Bromwich Albion towards the end of last season, which set rumours flying as to when he would sign for the Gunners.
Harry Redknapp, QPR boss, said that Remy is available for £8 million and it looks like Arsenal will make the move to sign the Frenchman, who is desperate to join the north London club.
Remy scored more than double anyone else at Newcastle last season (Yohan Cabaye aside).
