Various sources are reporting that a disgruntled Shinji Kagawa has told Manchester United team-mates that he wants to leave Old Trafford in January.
The Japanese playmaker is afraid of a dip in form and also risks not being called up to the Japanese squad for the World Cup next year.
Kagawa has been struggling to get into the first-team since David Moyes took over, and the fact that he now accepts that he needs a new club, will come as a blow to fans who believe he gives the side a more creative outlook.
With Adnan Januzaj performing well, there are slim chances of Shinji being picked over him.
Kagawa arrived in June 2012 in a deal worth around £17million from Borussia Dortmund.
The German club enquired about re-signing him in the summer, and Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have declared that they will be in the hunt to snap him up too if he becomes available.
