Up to four Premier League clubs are interested in taking Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha on loan this transfer window, with Cardiff, Stoke, Swansea and Norwich all keen on the former Crystal Palace midfielder. Sky Sports report that the quartet are amongst six clubs interested in the winger, but that United may not let him leave if fellow wideman Nani fails to recover from injury.
Former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson signed Zaha from Palace last January, before loaning him back to the Selhurst Park outfit for the second half of the season. Having enjoyed an explosive opening to last season Zaha experienced a difficult second half of the season, but produced two goals to see off Brighton in the Championship play off semi final and won the penalty that defeated Watford to send The Eagles to the Premier League.
However, he has struggled for first-team football at Old Trafford this season, and may leave the club on loan. He has only featured in two Premier League fixtures – both as a substitute – and United boss David Moyes is believed to be willing to let him leave on loan, as long as Nani’s injury doesn’t turn out to be serious.
This news has alerted Cardiff, Swansea, Norwich and Stoke, as well as two clubs outside the Premier League, and Zaha is unlikely to be at Old Trafford at the close of the transfer window.
In his 30 minutes of Premier League action this season, Zaha has made seven passes and completed four tackles.
