Rumour: Thibaut Courtois is not moving to Barcelona

Barcelona are considering a bid for Marc-Andre ter Stegen to replace current goalkeeper Victor Valdes. Despite this fact, Thibaut Courtois‘ father, Thierry Courtois, has said that his son was never interested in a move to Barcelona.

Thierry Courtois stated: “Thibaut is not disappointed that Barcelona have chosen another goalkeeper,”

“It was never a real option. Thibaut still has a contract until the end of the season at Atletico.

“It is logical that there are talks with Chelsea about his future at this point. And that’s what we are doing.”

Courtois is currently under contract at Chelsea and is playing on loan at Atletico Madrid.
