Tottenham Hotspur splashed the cash in the summer window, securing the services of Valencia sensation Roberto Soldado. The Spain international had been in red hot form for the Spanish outfit last season, scoring 30 goals in 41 appearances, which prompted the Spurs to add him to their new look side.
However, the striker has failed to settle in to the Premier League, scoring just one goal from open play this season. The front man has scored only 4 goals in his 13 appearances in the Premier League so far – a meagre return to the hefty £26 million paid by Spurs.
The 28-year, who has lost his place to in-form Jermaine Defoe, looks to be on his way out of White Hart Lane, as the manager and fans grow frustrated with his lack performances.
Sevilla, who recently sold Alvaro Negredo to Manchester City, look to be keeping tabs on the Spurs flop, who they see as an ideal replacement.
