Arsenal have been boosted in their transfer plans as Manchester United target Arda Turan‘s agent claimed that the Turkish attacker wants to play under Arsene Wenger’s tutelage at some point in the future, according to Goal.
Turan has been in fine form for Atletico Madrid this season and has earned a number of suitors across Europe, with Atletico Madrid’s financial situation meaning they are susceptible to any large bids for key players.
The player has reportedly claimed that Arsenal would be his favoured option if he were to move to England, but has ruled out a move for the time being as he is settled in Spain.
Ahmet Bulut, Turan’s agent said: “He is interested in working under Arsene Wenger and Arda would like to play in England.
“Arda will not leave Atletico. They are part of the title race and he is a key player.
“Arda plays for a big club and will be part of Atletico’s success.
“For now, I would like to insist once more that Arda renewed his contract recently and wants to stay at Atletico.”
Turan is contracted to stay at Vicente Calderon until 2017, but with every player having their price at the Spanish title contenders, Arsenal could yet test the waters by making a second big-money move for a Madrid-based player in as many years.
