The Spanish club is set to make a January move for the Manchester City striker. Edin Dzeko would look for a Manchester City exit due to lack of games this season under new boss Manuel Pellegrini.
As per reports in Dailymail, the Spanish club are set for a takeover by Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, who is said to have prioritized Champions League football for Valencia next season. Valencia who are now 11th in the Spanish league and if the takeover is successful, 40 million pounds will be made available for manager Juan Antonio Pizzi in the winter transfer window.
Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko is said to be Valencia’s top target in the winter transfer window as they would like to strengthen their strike-force. Dzeko has started 6 Premier League games for Manchester City this season and has scored 9 goals in all competitions for Manchester City. Due to the outstanding form of Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero, the Bosnian was benched for most of the games.
With Aguero and Montenegro striker Stevan Jovetic also injured, Manchester City would be reluctant to sell Edin Dzeko to Valencia in the winter transfer window.
Valencia will face stiff competition from Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan in the signing of the Bosnian striker.
