The center back has lost his place to Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny, who seem to be the prefered pairing at the back for Gunners manager Arsene Wenger.
With limited opportunities at the Emirates, the 28-year old will be despearate to move on in search of regular first team football. The Russian outfit, with money to burn, could land their target if they match Arsenal’s 10 million pound valuation for the player.
