#2 United confirm squad numbers of new signings
Manchester United have confirmed the squad numbers of new signings Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Welshman is all set to pick up the squad number vacated by the departure of Ander Herrera and will be seen as the new United No. 21 in the upcoming season.
Wan-Bissaka, on the other hand, will be picking up the No. 29, which was last worn by his Crystal Palace team mate Wilfred Zaha, during his disastrous stay at Old Trafford. It is Wan-Bissaka's preferred number, as the Englishman has been wearing the same number at Palace since he broke into the first team.
Both players represent a change in transfer strategy from United this summer, as the club target young, hungry players to form a new base for the future.
It is a stark departure from the quick fixes of the recent summers, where experience was given greater emphasis than youth.
However, Solskjaer's arrival seems to have changed that and the club is already looking to add a few more players in the similar mould before the end of the summer.
