Ryan Giggs is set to meet with Louis van Gaal in the Netherlands on Wednesday to discuss details about his future at the club, according to the BBC.
Giggs started the season in a player/coach capacity, playing just a few games as he helped David Moyes on the touchline and at Carrington, the clubs training base. However, Moyes was sacked by the club in April and Giggs was appointed as interim manager until the end of the season.
Following the seasons conclusion at the weekend, Giggs seems set to give his away his position, with Louis van Gaal set to take over as Manchester United boss in the coming days. The Dutchman is currently with the Holland squad preparing for the upcoming World Cup and he has reportedly invited Giggs to the training camp in Hoenderloo as his side are on their designated rest day.
Van Gaal is willing to discuss a coaching role for Giggs to adopt next season when the Dutchman takes over and the Welshman is happy to listen to potential offers. He is to fly to Holland today alongside chief executive Ed Woodward.
Phil Neville, Chris Woods, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt, are all likely to leave the club this summer, but Giggs is willing to stay at the club in some capacity.
