Following what is likely to have been his last Premier League game as Manchester United manager, for the immediate future at least, Ryan Giggs revealed that he is soon to make a decision on the next stage of his career.
The Welshman took charge at Old Trafford after David Moyes’ departure, which followed a 2-0 defeat to the Scots’ previous club, Everton.
Giggs’ capitalised upon a fresh wave of optimism to kick off his managerial career with a 4-0 victory over Norwich, though a home defeat to Sunderland dampened the final few games in what has been a season of disappointment among the red half of Manchester.
“It’s been an experience with ups and downs. I’ve enjoyed it and I didn’t want the second half to end. The fans were great and the players were great and I loved it,” said Giggs, following Man United’s draw away to Southampton.
“I will decide within the next week [what I do], the managerial situation will be sorted in the next week and I need to have a think about what I will do.”
