In his final press conference as interim manager of Manchester United, Ryan Giggs asked Sky Sports News to turn off the televisions which displayed the noisy neighbours of Manchester City celebrating their title win at the Etihad.
“You couldn’t turn that off, could you, flipping heck,” said Giggs.
United drew 1-1 against Southampton in their final game and Giggs’s response at the conference summed up just how difficult their season was.
