Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs hailed former manager Sir Alex Ferguson and admitted that he was fortunate to play under the Scot.
Giggs owed his career to Sir Alex, without whom the Welshman believes that he would be nobody. Sir Alex retired from the beautiful game after a long and illustrious managerial spell at United spanning 26 years, during which he won several trophies and accolades.
“We were lucky to play under a manager who believed in playing young players.”
“I think, when you have someone like Sir Alex believing in you, you do not want to let him down. So, you try hard and you try and to do all the right things.
“You are not going to play well every week. If you do not play well, you go back, you practice and try and play as well as you can in the next game.” said Giggs.
