Liverpool have received an injury scare after their new recruit, Sadio Mane, suffered a knock during training. The former Southampton winger took a hit on the arm during Liverpool's training session at Melwood and hurt his shoulder. The 24-year-old was taken to the Spire hospital in South Liverpool on Wednesday afternoon for scans. The Daily Express reports that Mane suffered the problem after a collision during the club's training session.
It was later revealed that Mane's injury is just a muscle problem and not a shoulder dislocation. The club and the fans were relieved to hear that the problem is not as serious as feared. Reports say that he could be available for Reds' Burnley game this weekend but will be assessed throughout the coming days.

The Senegalese winger, who had a very good preseason with Liverpool this summer, was very impressive on his debut against Arsenal on Sunday. The main highlight of Mane's debut was his solo goal which helped Liverpool win 4-3 at the Emirates. The winger’s fabulous start has left Liverpool supporters optimistic about their chances this season.
The 24-year-old revealed, after the game, that the high team spirit at the club has helped him to settle down quickly. Mane said that there is high team spirit within the team and the coach is trying to help the players do their best. He added that he is already very close with everybody at the club and is impressed with every one of his teammates.
“There’s a very good team spirit and the coach is trying to help us give our best. I think this is important. I’m close with everyone. I’m just trying to give what I can. I’m impressed by them because we have a great team with big quality". These were the words of the Senegalese after his debut against Arsenal.
Mane was bought by Liverpool for a fee of £30 million from fellow EPL club, Southampton. While Liverpool were criticised for the high transfer fee, the fans would be more than happy to see the forward build on his sparkling debut.
The club and the fans will be hoping that Mane's injury is nothing serious and he will be available for team selection for Liverpool's match against Burnley on Saturday.
