SAFF Championship 2013: Injured Afghanistan defender Farzad Muhaiuddin out of danger

Afghanistan central defender Farzad Muhaiuddin, who suffered a serious head injury in the second half of the SAFF Championship 2013 semi-final against Nepal, is now out of danger.

Muhaiuddin suffered the injury while attempting a header and was unconscious for a while. He required defibrillation in the ground itself and was rushed to the Blue Cross Hospital, which is less than a minute away from Kathmandu’s Dasarath Stadium.

He is now in stable condition but is being kept under observation for precaution.
