Defending champion Pakistan were held to a goalless draw by Afghanistan in the ongoing South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U16 Championship here at Kathmandu, Nepal.
Earlier, in the opening match of the Championship, Nepal beat Bhutan 7 – 0 with the three goals each from Bimal Gharti Magar and Hemant Thapa while Shiva Subedi rounded off the score.
The second SAFF U16 Championship features teams from seven countries in South Asia — hosts Nepal, along with India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Afghanistan.
India will play Sri Lanka in group B match on Sunday.
