West Ham boss was enraged with the match officials after the controversial Robin van Persie equaliser in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Upton Park yesterday.
Robin van Persie scored his 21st Premier League goal of the season after Shinji Kagawa‘s shot hit both the posts; but after seeing the replays, the Dutchman seemed to be in an offside position.
Allardyce said: “We had a fabulous win taken away from us.”
The United boss was equally furious over the Andy Carroll’s challenge on David De Gea.
“It was a red card. There is not a doubt about that,” he said.
The Andy Carroll-De Gea incident came after United’s brilliant play which led to a Valencia goal, cancelling out Ricardo Vaz Te’s 15th-minute opener.
However, the Hammers’ boss was quick to contradict Ferguson.
“I think it is a yellow card at most because Andy has committed to try for the header and you can’t stop dead.”
“When you commit on a corner and you start off running, you can’t stop dead even though you aren’t going to get it. Your Highway Code will tell you that when you travel at 60mph it will take 300 yards to stop, so when Andy’s travelling at 15mph…”
