Samuel Eto'o's arrival to Chelsea is just a matter of hours

The big news of the day is here. The Italy based journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has tweeted that Eto’o has just signed for the Blues. Here’s the tweet–

Eto’o has just signed a 1 year contract with @chelseafc #samuelbacktoMou .

Di Marzio is the journo who first came in with the news linking Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, and also claimed of Willian being hijacked by Chelsea.

According to reports in Sky Sports, Samuel Eto’o , the Cameroon striker is all set to join the Blues at the Stamford Bridge for at least one season. The deal is expected to be around £7million one-year deal and will join Chelsea on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old former Inter Milan forward took a heavy pay cut from £17Million at Anzhi Makhachkala which made him the highest earning football player. Anzhi were reported to be under some serious financial problems and were looking forward to releasing their players .

Samuel arrived at in London last night and is expected to have a medical today.

Even though Samuel is 32 years old and has already passed his prime, he could be an asset for Chelsea as they have struggled most of the times in the attacking department after the departure of their Ivorian striker Didier Drogba.
