The Argentinean club’s goalkeeper was arrested on the pitch on the suspicion of helping a hooligan wanted for homicide.
Pablo Migliore was taken into custody after San Lorenzo’s game against Newell’s Old Boys ended in a 1-0 loss. The custodian has been charged with helping Maximiliano Mazzaro, who is wanted for beating his neighbour to death in 2011. The police suspect that the former Boca keeper has helped Mazzaro escape the law.
San Lorenzo have been a hot topic lately, this after the newly elected pope admitted to be a fan of the club.
The Saints denied having any more information about the incident. The arrest surely would have affected celebrations, as Lorenzo reach their 105th anniversary this week.
