Arsenal‘s mid-field maestro Santi Cazorla has apologized to Tottenham fans after he was pictured with Arsenal legend Robert Pires, holding a placard that mocked the team.
Arsenal legend Robert Pires and Cazorla were pictured on French TV, along with a female fan holding a piece of paper, which read a well-known terrace chant:
“What do we think of Tottenham? S**t! What do we think of s**t? Tottenham!”
The picture shot to fame on micro-blogging site Twitter, and received hundreds of Retweets.
The Spanish international while apologizing has said that he was unaware of the content on the paper. The 29-year old is still learning English after his transfer from Malaga to Arsenal in 2012.
Robert Pires, who regularly trains with the Gunners to maintain his fitness along with Santi Cazorla is the latest member affiliated with the Gunners to have mocked the Tottenham fans.
Theo Walcott during the FA Cup match between Arsenal and Spurs, teased the travelling fans by making a gesture indicating the scoreline of 2-0 while being stretchered off the field.
Wojcieh Szczesny has also been guilty of mocking the Spurs fans, after he posted the following message on his official Facebook page in late November, following the 6-0 demolition of Spurs by Manchester City- “Wonderful scenes at the Etihad..”
