Santi Cazorla is hoping to make a start for Arsenal in their match against West Bromwich Albion after missing the last four games due to an ankle injury. The Spanish striker will, however, miss important ties including a Champions League clash against Napoli. The north London side is desperately in need for the Spaniard to make a comeback. In response to a question asking when he will be fit to return, he said: “I will be fit maybe in one week, I hope I can play at West Brom.” The former Malaga forward picked up the injury while on duty with the national team.
The Arsenal squad has been plagued with injuries with players such as Theo Walcott (stomach), Yaya Sanogo (back), and Abou Diaby (both knee), Lukas Podolski (hamstring) being ruled unfit for the coming games. Despite this, there have been a few positive developments in the Gunners camp. Mikel Arteta played through the 95 minute game against West Brom and Tomas Rosicky is back from injury.
