Santi Cazorla close to put pen to paper on new 3-year Arsenal deal

Arsenal midfield magician Santi Cazorla, much to the delight of the club’s fans, is set to commit his long term future to the Gunners, which will see him play for the outfit until 2017.

The Spaniard and representatives from the club have been thrashing out a deal which will now see him earn an improved £80,000-a-week, a testament to the player’s importance in the squad.

Cazorla will become the third player to extend his contract at the Emirates along with German center back Per Mertesacker and veteran Tomas Rosicky.

The playmaker arrived in North London from Malaga in 2012 for a sizeable €18 million, and has since become a fixture in Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up.

The dimunitive attacker has scored 4 goals and provided 4 assists this season, and has been vital in Arsenal’s charge for the Premiership.

All three deals are due to be announced in the next few days.
