Retired Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, is set for an emotional return to Old Trafford after Daily Star revealed that he is being offered a role in the coaching capacity at AON training complex.
The former United midfielder hung his boots this summer along with Sir Alex Ferguson. Although he was offered a coaching role at the Carrington setup, he refused it because he wanted to spend some more time with his family.
But the former England midfielder was spotted on March 15 in talks with David Gill and Sir Alex Ferguson at the Alderley Edge hotel.
Sources have indicated that United are keen to discover what he wants to do next and following on with the club’s philosophy to keep their legendary players connected with the club, the United board wants to bring him back into the fold as the club looks to bolster David Moyes’s coaching team.
Paul Scholes made a total of 718 appearances for Manchester United scoring 155 goals since his debut in 1994 vs Port Vale in an away League Cup match.
