#3 Gonzalo Higuain – Napoli (Serie A – Italy)
Argentine Higuain has been in breathtaking form for his side Napoli this season smashing a record 36 goals. Whilst he failed to propel Napoli to the Serie A title as they finished runners-up to Juventus, his goals were the catalyst behind the Azzurri’s sensational season.
The ex Real Madrid striker broke a 66 year old Serie A record for the most goals scored in a single campaign as he almost led his side to the Scudetto. Not surprisingly, his amazing form has attracted interest from major clubs around the world including Chelsea, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, everybody in Naples, including coach Maurizio Sarri, will be hoping that Higuain stays put and helps his side win the league soon, something they have not managed to achieve since another Argentinean Diego Maradona inspired them to victory in 1989-90.
