Barcelona Sporting Director Andoni Zubizarretahas announced that midfielder Sergio Busquets has extended his contract with the club to 2018, with an option to extend it to end of 2018/19 season. The contract has a buyout clause of 150 million euros.
It was the perfect birthday gift for Busquets, who turned 25 today. He made his debut for Barcelona in 2008 after progressing through their youth system and has represented the club in 238 matches so far, scoring 8 goals.
