Sergio Aguero, time and again, gave Tottenham Hotspur nightmares with his prolific scoring ability. He netted in five consecutive league appearances against them between 2012 and 2015.

That period saw Aguero bag all four goals in a 4-1 league win in 2014, despite him missing a penalty. Following that game, though, Aguero had a dry spell and failed to score in seven consecutive top-flight appearances against them.

In fact, after the 2015-16 season until his departure from City this summer, Aguero struck only once against them in the league. He was an unused substitute in both league games last season.

In the final of the 2021 EFL Cup, Aguero was on the bench. Had he remained fit, he might have added to his tally against Spurs.

Aguero's first goals against Chelsea came with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in 2009. He netted both goals in a 2-2 draw in the Spanish capital.

After joining City, he came back to haunt Chelsea regularly, scoring two league hat-tricks. Chelsea are the only team besides Newcastle against whom Aguero has struck multiple league hat-tricks.

However, in the 2021 Champions League final in May, the Blues got some redemption. They ruined Aguero's City swansong with a 1-0 victory, denying him another European title.

Aguero has scored 15 goals against Newcastle United, making the Northeast side his joint-favourite side along with Chelsea in terms of goals.

However, he has managed so much in just 15 games. Aguero has struck two hat-tricks against the Magpies, one of which was a five-goal haul in 2015, a league game which City won 6-1.
