What's the story?
Juventus Sporting Director Fabio Paratici revealed his admiration for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, stating that he loves the ex-Bianconeri superstar.
He was speaking after the presentation of ex-Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri as the new head coach of Juventus. The Turin club has also been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain's French international central midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
In case you didn't know...
Juventus fired manager Massimiliano Allegri despite the Turin club winning an 8th successive Scudetto, with the Italian tactician failing to get the Bianconeri past the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Having brought in Maurizio Sarri from Chelsea as the new manager, Juve are looking to reinforce their ageing squad with some top-draw players, especially in central midfield.
While Sarri is reported to be interested in bringing Italian midfielder Jorginho from Chelsea, Pogba and Rabiot are also rumoured targets for the Turin club.
The heart of the matter
As reported by AS Sport, the Juventus Sporting director spoke about the two players that the Bianconeri are linked with over this summer transfer window - Paul Pogba and Adrien Rabiot.
"They are two great players," Paratici said. "Pogba is a Manchester United player. We love him, we made him grow up but he is a Manchester United player."
Paratici also remarked that Juve are indeed interested in bringing Rabiot to Turin, with the 24-year-old available for a free transfer after his contract expired with PSG.
""We are making an attempt for Rabiot, as with all the players we have in mind. We discussed them with Sarri and soon we will take a decision."
What's next?
Juventus begin their pre-season with the International Champions Cup friendly tournament. Their first matchup will be against Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, scheduled to kick off on 21st July in Singapore.
