Juventus were said to have done one of the best businesses ever this summer as the Italian champions utilized the funds generated from Paul Pogba's sale efficiently. The Turin side has already started their work on addressing the areas to strengthen in the next transfer window and have decided on their targets for the next summer.
One such starlet, Rodrigo Bentancur, is reported to be signed by the Serie A club with the 19-year-old choosing Juventus over the Manchester clubs and also Real Madrid with Carlos Tevez playing a crucial role in this deal.
When Carlos Tevez left Juventus for Boca Juniors in 2015, the Old Lady included a special clause in the deal which enabled them to have the first option on youngsters at La Bombonera until April 2017. Juventus are going to use the clause to bring the 19-year-old to Turin which will serve as a blow to his other suitors which included the biggest clubs in the world. Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is said to be a fan of Bentancur and has wanted the youngster since last summer.
Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici was talking to TyC sports as he said, "It is already signed. When I was in Switzerland recently Juventus informed me that that they were going to activate the option so I will travel to Turin soon in order to complete the deal. I think it's very good business for Boca. Juventus will pay £6.7million for 50 per cent of his rights."
Angelici continued, "He must have something because there were a lot of clubs interested. Real Madrid made a proposal, Manchester United also came and Milan made a £12.5m formal offer to sign him." Bentancur is one of Uruguay's hottest property at the moment with Juventus being the club to secure his services for the immediate future.
Bentancur made his debut for Boca aged 17 in the 2015 Copa Libertadores and has gone on to establish himself as one of the club's exciting prospects. The 19-year-old has made 33 league appearances, scoring one goal on the way and securing a move to Juventus because of his immense talent. Last season, Arsenal were also closely monitoring the midfielder's development in Argentina but then opted not to make any formal contact with the club.
