Alvaro Negredo will be moving to Manchester City, La Liga side Sevilla’s official website confirmed. The 27-year old will be moving to the Etihad Stadium in the next couple of days, joining the likes of Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko in City’s strikeforce.
The striker has been rumoured with a move for a couple of weeks now, with City boss Manuel Pellegrini said to be a huge admirer of the Spanish international. His previous Sevilla teammate Jesus Navas also joined the Citizens earlier this summer for a fee of £17 million.
Sevilla have organized a farewell for the player, with his teammates expected to attend it before leaving for the club’s tour of South America.
Negredo joined Sevilla in 2009 from fellow La Liga outfit Almeria, and has scored 85 goals for Los Rojiblancos.
