Seville (Spain), June 1: Europa League winners Sevilla announced on Monday the signing of Celta Vigo's midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli for the next two seasons. The 32-year-old Dane will end his contractual relationship with Celta Vigo on June 30, and will move on a free transfer to Sevilla, reports Efe.
Krohn-Dehli has been with Celta Vigo for three seasons, capping 101 La Liga games out of the total 114, playing either in centre or left-midfield. At Sevilla, the Dane will get a chance to play Champions League.
The Andalusian side secured Champions League football after winning the Europa League and will be looking to add depth to their squad.
The player went to Amsterdam at a young age to train in the Ajax youth system and made his professional debut with the Dutch club RKC Waalwijk. He then returned to Ajax before going home to Denmark to play for Brondby, where he spent five seasons.
The Dane was unable to make an impact on the Eredivisie which prompted him to move back to Denmark with Brondby. At Brondby, he made an impact which caught the attention of Celta Viga who signed him in 2012.
He made his international debut in October 2006 and has played 49 games for Denmark, scoring six goals.
