Shahid Khan denies plans to rename Fulham FC as the Jaguars

Shahid Khan vows not to mess with the history of the Cottagers

Fulham FC owner and Pakistan-born American billionaire Shahid Khan has assured all fans that he will not be re-branding the London club as the Jaguars, claiming the club’s name is “historical.”

It has been only a month since the American entrepreneur purchased the English Premier League club, and has made it his priority to guarantee everyone that the Londoners’ name will not be changed following widespread protests from Hull City fans after owner Assem Allam expressed his desire to name the club Hull City Tigers nationally, and Hull Tigers internationally.

Daily Star quoted Khan as saying: “We won’t be becoming Fulham Jaguars. I don’t think they are the things we would change. Fulham Football Club is how it was way before my lifetime and that is hopefully how it will be a long time after I am gone. Both Fulham and the Jaguars have to operate as their own entities.”

Along with the Cottagers, Khan also owns the American National Football League (NFL) club Jacksonville Jaguars, and is the chairman of American automotive manufacturing company Flex-N-Gate.
