Shebby Singh appointed director of football at Blackburn Rovers

Asian football pundit and former Malaysian defender Shebby Singh has been appointed as the director of football at Blackburn Rovers football club, who were relegated from the top flight of English football last season.

As director of football, Shebby Singh is expected to form a buffer between the club’s Indian owners and manager Steve Kean, although all prospects of him staying on as manager have hit an all-time low.

Shebby Singh, never one to mince words, is expected to fit right into the role. He is popularly known around footballing circles as a hard-hitting, cynical football analyst.

Shebby Singh has won all domestic competitions in Malaysia in a domestic career that spanned over 18 years, to go with a national career that lasted 9 years.
