Former Borussia Dortmund midfield player Shinji Kagawa scored a late winning goal for Manchester United against Bundesliga club Hannover 96 at the AWD Stadium in Hanover on Saturday.
With only five minutes left, Wayne Rooney headed a long ball to the playmaker who powered the ball across goal to give Manchester United a 4–3 win.
The Japanese international was full of praise for his fellow Manchester United teammate after the narrow and hard fought triumph against Hannover 96.
Shinji Kagawa said, “Playing with Wayne Rooney creates such an exciting atmosphere and he really senses when he is going to get an opening to shoot. My purpose is to help create those opportunities for Rooney to shoot, if we have to get the ball under control we can have those chances to get a shot away. It is such an honour to work alongside him and by playing with someone like him, allows me to develop to the next level. I will continue to work as hard as I can.”
