Sir Alex: Robin van Persie could start tomorrow – and Evra could be at CB

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Sir Alex confirmed there’s a high possibility that Robin van Persie will make his home debut from the off tomorrow against Fulham. “There is every chance Robin could start tomorrow,” claimed Sir Alex while speaking about the number of injuries to the United squad. Many have been calling for Rooney to drop to the bench following his poor performance vs Everton and this may be the case – we’ll have to wait and see.

Alongside new signing Alexander Buttner, Ferguson added “Alex [Bütner] will be involved tomorrow because he us gives that back-up. Evra could actually play centre-back. Jones started training yesterday but he’s a while away yet.” Unsurprisingly our injury problems haven’t improved slightly since the Everton match and the only small positive is that Phil Jones is now training again. Robbie Brady or Tyler Blackett may be drafted in to take Evra’s left back role as Sir Alex confirmed Büttner won’t start.
