Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal has said that Weslley Sneijder should leave his current club Galatasaray to join Chelsea in order to boost his chances to feature in the World Cup squad.
Sneijder has appeared in only 5 of the last 10 matches for the Oranje nation, meanwhile, being a regular at his Turkish club.
“I know Chelsea and Jose Mourinho want Sneijder,” Van Gaal told Vatan. “In my opinion, if possible Sneijder should leave Galatasaray and join Chelsea.
“Playing under Mourinho again would improve his performances and help him regain his form for the national team.”
Sneijder had played under Mourinho during the 2010 season when Inter Milan won the treble including the UEFA Champions League Trophy defeating Bayern Munich.
