Inter Milan and Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder had taken a lot of space in all the sports tabloids in Europe during the 2011 summer transfer. Reports claimed that Sneijder had closed his move to United during the last summer with only personal terms stopping the Dutchman’s move to Old Trafford.
Former United player Teddy Sheringham recently claimed that Dutchman will make a move to United during this summer transfer. Sneijder has already rejected the transfer request from clubs outside Europe during the January transfer window.

Last month, reports suggested United were still keen on signing Sneijder, and although the Red Devils have been linked with a number of similar players in recent weeks. Sneijder could add an attacking balance to United, something which they have lacked this season.
“I think they will, without a doubt,” Sheringham said
“The manager tried to sign Sneijder last year and when he likes someone he very rarely lets go of that bone and he will go back in for them”
“He(SAF) did the same for a lot of players – like Ruud Van Nistelrooy. He had a broken leg when he first went in for him but he went back in for him a year later.it wouldn’t surprise me if he goes back in for Sneijder and he finally gets his man.”
Inter director Marco Branca recently refused to rule out selling Sneijder this summer, while reports over the past year have suggested that Nike, who design United’s kit and also sponsor the players, have been keen to get involved in a bid to to work out a deal that would take the player to Old Trafford.
It looks like Wesley Sneijder’s possible transfer to United has already made more presence in the sports tabloid before the summer transfers opens in July. Will United open their cheque book to sign the creative midfielder?
United really need a world class midfielder as they cannot rely on Paul Scholes for the entire season. Will they once again re-ignite a move for Sneijder to Old Trafford. Time alone will tell. It will be one busy transfer window this season.
