Rooney is scoring belters once again and is playing with renewed vigour

They say class is permanent and with good reason. Rooney has scored some spectacular goals throughout his career including a 60-yard goal from behind the half-way line against West Ham, an unforgettable bicycle against Manchester City among others.

Rooney conjured up a moment of brilliance against West Ham at Goodison Park in November. Winning the ball from a misplaced touch he took advantage of Joe Hart's sweeping run outside his box to lash home a perfectly timed kick into the goal.

That took Everton to 3-0 and brought a new lease of life to the Toffees' season. The effort has won him another Goal of the Month Award.
